Thank You Little Brother, For Everything

My younger brother and I have always been really close. I don't ever remember a time where we weren't. I look after him as if he were my own, and he looks up to me as a role model. But the truth is, those roles are often reversed. My brother is my ultimate role model. We are three years apart, which isn't much, but in some cases makes a world of a difference. I look to him for guidance, his kindness, his personality, and his overall outlook on life. My younger brother has done more for me than he will ever know.

When we were young, we were glued to the hip. We did everything together. I was a little tomboy that played with cars and trucks and dug in the dirt with him. He would occasionally play kitchen with me or some other make believe game. We were there for each other. There was no doubt about that.

As we grow older and are out of high school moving on with our lives, we have a stronger bond. We are still there for each other just as much, but we live our lives the way we want to. My friends are his friends and his friends are my friends. We always choose each other first in any situation. My brother will drop what he is doing in a heartbeat for me, and for that I am forever grateful.

Being the oldest sibling and setting the tone for everything was stressful at times, but I am just thankful to have an amazing younger brother that doesn't hesitate to come to me for anything. We tell each other everything and have secrets between each other that will go to the grave.

My younger brother is the sweetest gentleman you will ever meet, no bias here. He is true and honest and he isn't afraid to tell you how it is. I love all of his characteristics. Being able to guide him along his journey in life has made me proud to be his older sister. We guide each other in life. If we ever need each other we are only a phone call, text, FaceTime, or hallway away.

My little brother is no longer little, he has grown into an amazing young man. Our sense of humor is one of a kind that you either get or you don't. We will make each other laugh until dawn. We can sit in silence and just be happy and content. Our bond will last a lifetime.

For those of you that have a sibling, you know exactly what I am talking about. The sibling bond is something that should never be broken. We are there for each other through thick and thin. I truly appreciate everything my brother does for me and I always will. I love you Doog :)

I'm sure, like me, many of you received lots of gift cards over the holidays. After working retail seasonally, here are a few tips that I learned in order to make the employees at your favorite store just a little happier and not want to charge you extra on your purchase for being awful. Here are some times when you should be nicer to retail workers than you actually are!

5 Untold Struggles Of The Short Friend

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone
Youtube

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
