Three months. 90 days. 2190 hours. I have officially box-stepped and merengued my way into love.

Thank you. Ordinary days become extraordinary when I lay aside my problems and enter the studio.

You've not only taught me dance moves, you've also given me the confidence to express myself and be okay with making mistakes.

You are my sunshine on a cloudy day.

I cherish the days I can come home from work and dance out my frustrations and burn hundreds of calories as well.

Your positive attitude and willingness to share your love for fitness, as well as life, is utterly infectious and radiates toward all you encounter within and without the studio.

You inspire me to deepen my squats, lift heavier weights, jump higher, and soar to greater heights.

It is because of your grace and compassion, your enthusiasm, and your dedication that I and countless others return day after day for workouts.

The workouts vary, and people come and go, but your positivity and words of encouragement remain.

I come back every week for a high intensity and fun workout, but I also show up because I have a found a home, a sense of community, and a sense of belonging within the studio.

I've seen encouragement, laughter, and a spark for life. The things I witness during each workout are part of what inspires me to want to one day be the role model you are, to me, for others.

Your poise, spunk, and bubbly demeanor give me so much hope and happiness and it is amazing how many lives you alone have touched simply by being yourself.

I want you to know that while you may not see the impact you are having on others, it is one so profound that it is not only seen, but felt.

Maybe it isn't Zumba that has touched me in such a positive and influential way.

No, I like to think it is the idea that people have the ability to transform a house into a home, and make a workout feel like a party.

I love Zumba, but I think what makes it so magical is your ability to make the act of working out not only enjoyable, but something to look forward to.

You have made me a better person and dancer and I owe it all to YOU.

So thank you, Valentina, from the bottom of my heart.

Thanks for being YOU.

Love and hugs,

Irina

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

The Belchers hold the key to a better life.

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
