Hi,

First of all, I hope you’re doing well. I hope you are happy with yourself and everything you have accomplished with your life. I hope you found a girl that can settle you down and changed you for the better.

I would like to say thank you for everything you have done to me. Thank you for always putting me down with your words. Thank you for never responding to my text because you were “busy” with other things. Thank you for always telling me what to do. Thank you for talking down to me because “you know best.” And finally, thank you for messing with my head.

One day you tell me you want to be with me and the next I’m just another girl in your books. I will never forget the way you made me feel. But what I have learned from you, will always be with me. If you didn’t mess with my head, I wouldn’t have realized that I deserved so much better. I deserve someone that treats me more than just another girl, someone who doesn’t put me down with words, someone that tells me I’m beautiful and that I am the only one for them. I deserve the world. But you didn’t deserve me. You didn’t deserve the loyalty, commitment, and love I gave you. In honesty, you don’t deserve anything.

I have never been more disappointed in myself. But I have learned from the experience we had together and that without you, I would have never had the courage to walk away. Without you, I would have never learned to love myself. Without you, I wouldn’t be the girl who became independent. Without you, I wouldn't have allowed myself to become brand new. And lastly, without you, I wouldn’t have found someone that I deserve.

Because of you, I found someone that treats me more than just another girl. He treats me like I am his entire world. He is caring, kindhearted, loving, sweet, and so much more. I found the man of my dreams. And I have never been happier!

Again, thank you. Thank you, for allowing me to find someone that deserves my love. So, good luck to you!

10 Truths About Being In A Sorority

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.
