A Thank You Letter to the Good Police Officers

Yes, we do see you

A Thank You Letter to the Good Police Officers
Broward Palm Beach

To the Good Police Officers,

This is such a difficult time right now. Your bothers in Dallas were murdered, Michigan bailiffs also killed, people protesting against you, trash literally being thrown at you and it seems as if everyone is turning against you. People are generalizing all officers as bad, but you’re there just trying to do your job. One of the hardest jobs in the world. You’re here for the right reasons, you’re giving up your life to serve, and you’re giving up time with your family to protect other people’s family. I just want you to know that people DO see you doing the right things.

Every time you put your badge on there's a chance you may never come home again. You see people at their worst times and see some of the most gruesome things in this world. Officers will see drunk drivers, drugged people and children, horrible car accidents, abusers, murders, and things we couldn't even imagine. People still need help and you’re always there to answer the call. You pray that you'll return home after your shift, you hope to see your family again, and you hope to make a difference. While people continue to target you and blame you for everything, people still see you doing your job. Keeping your head down so you can return home at the end of the night.

You help keep us all safe. You keep us safe from the simple problems such as changing a tire for someone who can't, to literally saving ones life. People do see you continuing to do your work and doing it well. When people call for your help the sirens are a sound of hope that help is coming. Despite everything that is going on, you continue to answer calls that you know are dangerous and you continue to protect those people who are against you. This is one of the most unselfish gifts you are giving this crazy world... There is so much left to say, but a thank you is the most important.

Thank you for answering the call. Thank you for running into dangerous situations. Thank you for being there when you're needed. Thank you for your sacrifice. Thank you for keeping us safe. Thank you for not quitting when times are tough. Thank you for helping. Thank you for being brave. Thank you for continuing to protect us. Most of all, Thank you for being a Police Officer.

Sincerely,

A thankful citizen

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
