To The Friends I've Made In College: Thank You

We didn't grow up together, but we're going to grow old together.

To The Friends I've Made In College: Thank You
eonline.com

Our moms didn't introduce us when we were 2 years old. I didn't know you in the third grade. We never played sports together in middle school. I wasn't in your high school prom pictures. I haven't always known you, but now I couldn't imagine my life without you.

When I pictured my college years, you weren't in them. I had no idea who you were, or that you even existed. I knew I would meet new people, but I never thought that those people would become family. We all hope we will go away to school and make new friends, but I don't think we ever expect these friends to stick by us for life. When we met, I knew we would be great friends, but I never knew you would become so much more than that. You have truly become my confidants, my therapists, my cooks, my bartenders, my taxi service, my wing women, my teachers, my stylists, my sisters, my family, and my best friends. For all of this and so much more, I want to thank you.

Thank you for everything that you do for me everyday.

Thank you for being there for me when I have a horrible day.

Thank you for listening to me vent about that awful person in my class.

Thank you for holding me while I cry, even it is for a petty reason.

Thank you for helping me study for an exam that we both know is going to be impossible.

Thank you for responding to my texts at all hours of the night.

Thank you for always being willing to take a hundred pictures together until we finally get one that is "insta-worthy"

Thank you for comforting me when a boy screws me over.

Thank you for telling me that I could do better.

Thank you for always letting me borrow your clothes.

Thank you for laughing at my jokes, even when they're not funny.

Thank you for telling me when I'm overreacting, and for taking my side when I'm not.

Thank you for telling it like it is.

Thank you for always being down to watch "High School Musical."

Thank you for pretending not to like the people I don't like, even if you don't know them.

Thank you for supporting (and usually participating in) my stupid ideas.

Thank you for helping me piece myself back together when I am broken.

Thank you for being so trustworthy that the phrase "don't tell anyone" doesn't even need to be said.

Thank you for always reminding me that I am good enough.

Thank you for having my back.

Thank you for being you.

Thank you for being my best friend.

Most of the amazing memories I have made in college have included you and all of the reckless, crazy things we do. I know we are all busy with school and work and life, but I hope you took the time to read this so you know how much I appreciate our friendship and all that you do for me. They say college is where you really find yourself, but I got lucky and found so much more.

To those who celebrate, you just spent an entire day cooking an elaborate meal with all of your favorite foods. You probably ate your body weight in pumpkin pie and mashed potatoes. What happens now? 18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
