When I arrived at Ashland University in 2015, I did not know many people as being a transfer student. The first Monday, I had one of my first education classes and our teacher, Penny put name tags out for us, so we had to sit to next to those people. I was sat next to a guy named Matthew who is now one of my best friends at school. He happens to be on our swim team. We talked so much that day and we found out that we had the same major. After that class, I knew we would be best friends forever. After awhile, I had to take a semester off and he checked on me all throughout the spring semester.
Fall semester of 2016 came up so fast, that I was so nervous and excited to see everyone. I knew I had Matthew at school and others. This was the year that I got close to all of the swim team. I bet a lot of the Ashland students have heard of our school "swim table. Many people avoid it since they find the swim team imitating. I started sitting at their table throughout the year as a lot of the team said, "Cindy, you are a friend! Come on over!" It is always fun to sit with them as I know that many people would say that is an honor. I would just say they are being my friends.
The Ashland swim team are some of my best friends at school. They are some of the kindest, patient, and genuine people that you'll ever meet. They are always laughing together while they eat together; however, they are so loyal to each other that it makes you want to be on the swim team also.
I get snap chats from a few of them. The only ones I have streaks with. I talked to them a lot as because of Matthew. I never really thank Matthew for introducing me to all of them so thanks, Matthew!
I am trying to say that they are down to earth, sweet, and talkative if you looked past that they are always together. You can see that they are a great time and that they are not always together either. I am so glad that I get to called them some of my best friends at school.
This is my thank you letter to our school swim team because they are amazing. Also, they are really good swimmers, so go cheer on our school swim team when it is swim season. You will see me there!
