I am so lucky to have so many incredible people in my life watching over me so carefully. I am so lucky to be loved unconditionally no matter how lame and naive I can be and you’re all remarkable for tolerating me after all these years.
Thank you for running to Staples and the grocery store for me when I was sick, or taking me to dinner when I was stressed. I undoubtedly appreciate all of the late night phone calls, random visits and of course all the laughs. Thank you for always making time for my ‘childish drama,’ even though you’re completely above it and thanks for always including me, despite how irrelevant I was to any and all situations of yours. Thank you for reminding me that the issues I distort to be monumental crises are no big deal at all and always believing the best in me.
Thank you for letting me mature behind you all and sharing your knowledge of how upcoming years and events go down. Thanks for dancing with me at prom and reminding me that chemistry is torture and a C+ should be considered a victory. I’m growing up to be smarter and wiser than I would’ve been without your help and guidance. I am forever changed by all that you are and all that you have done for me and I’m so grateful that we’ve grown up together.
Thank you for always giving me genuine advice before I make a poor judgement, and thank you for picking up the pieces when I wrongly ignored your advice. Thank you for honestly telling me when I’m being delusional and always congratulating me in my triumphs.
Thanks for taking me out to ice cream when I’m sad and always making me feel loved. Thank you for introducing me to your friends and always ensuring I have the best company, which I do.
All of your care and consideration over me, I promise, has never gone unnoticed nor unappreciated. I am eternally grateful to have voluntary siblings taking care of me and picking me up when I couldn't do it myself. Thank you for always making time for me when you come home and making it feel like you never left.
But most importantly, thank you for never giving up on me; I hope I’ve made you proud. Thanks for never fading me out for someone that fit your personalities just a little better. Thank you for treating me like one of you, like family. I love our little family.
I hope I have made your lives better just like you all have bettered mine, because I wouldn't be the person I am today without being the ‘baby’ of our friend group.
