Though you might be low maintenance, you're definitely, without a doubt, high quality.

I miss the times we often took for granted. The many days we spent walking down the halls at school, driving in circles around town, or laughing until we started wheezing. Your friendship has always meant the world to me, and even after all this time, you're still a big part of who I am.

Now that we've grown into young adults, who ultimately had to part ways to chase our dreams, I want you to know that I value your friendship even more now than I did back then.

Thank you.

Thank you for always being there for me whenever I need you. Even if we haven't talked or even seen each other in weeks or even months on end, I know that you'll still be there to let me borrow an outfit, drive miles to come comfort me, or help me bury a body. And for that, I am ever grateful.

Thank you for understanding. You understand that it's hard to keep in touch when our lives get hectic. You don't expect daily texts, weekly phone calls, or monthly visits, but when we do finally reunite it's as if no time has passed since the last time we were together.

Thank you for not judging me. When we come home for breaks and we finally have time to catch up, we exchange stories about what's been going on in our lives. Whether it's a story about a drunken night out or telling you about that guy I've been seeing, there's never any judgment, so thank you for that.

I'm cheering you on, and I am always your biggest fan. I try to keep up with your lives as much as I can. If I see your selfie on Insta, a status about changing your major, or cute pictures of you and your new friends on Facebook, I hit the like button. I love seeing how much you've grown and I am proud of everything you've accomplished.

Friendship isn't about constantly reassuring each other that we care about one another. Friendship is just knowing that we do.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
