A Thank You Letter To My Future House
Aubrey Woolford

Hey ladies, we're home owners! And I just waned to say thank you. Thank you for being my family, my home away from home, my go-to-gals, and my best friends. Thank you for dealing with me when I tear up or laugh at all the quirky jokes I make that truly aren’t that funny. Thank you for accepting my flaws and helping me find my strengths. Thank you for making life so easy, when challenges come my way. You always know what to say and when to say it. Whether it be an inside joke, “it’s fine, we’re fine ladies”, an inspirational piece of advice, or blasting a song on a Sunday night while we scream the lyrics, sorry neighbors. Thank you for encouraging me to get out of my comfort zone and do things like escape rooms, singing in front of a hundred people, or asking me to be your model for your photography projects. Thank you for being the best workout buddies, even when it's a stormy Thursday night, and constantly motivating me. I am so incredibly lucky to have you all in my life and I am so glad I get to adult with y’all. Despite the stress of tests, papers, meetings, and all of that school stuff, let us not forget the bike rides, the movie nights, the weekends, and the Sunday brunches. Some quote on Pinterest once said… “No matter how serious life gets, you still gotta have those people you can be completely stupid with”. Thank you for being those people. So to end this cheesy and extremely sappy little article, let me just say one more thank you, thank you for being MY people.

I thought senioritis in high school was rough until I became a college senior about to go into the real world. I'm supposed to have everything figured out, right? I mean I went through four years of tough classes and serious self-searching (and crying). What I found overall was Senioritis sneaking up on me.

College is filled with many things, and we're so often lectured to make the right decisions as we head out on our own into the college life. But sometimes it's necessary to indulge in some guilty pleasures as well as just doing things because you can. And honestly, a lot of the time it's inevitable. College is no piece of cake that's for sure, so it's okay to do some things you deep down know you shouldn't....once in a while anyways.
