Thank you for dealing with me daily.

A Thank You Letter To My Long Distance Best Friend
Gwen Adams

Dear best friend,

After seven years of sending daily “I’m annoyed” texts, I don’t know how you deal with me. Even after seven years of receiving your daily “Dylan O’Brien is perfect” texts, I wouldn’t want to imagine life any other way. Not only am I thankful you're my best friend but, I’m thankful for Teen Wolf and O2L for bringing us together. Here’s to seven years and counting.

West Virginia and Florida are nearly a thousand miles apart. Thank you for waking me up to daily pictures of Florida sunrises. It’s honestly better than getting a good morning text.

Nothing makes me happier than you going on one of your Dylan O’Brien sprees. If you're not talking about Dylan, you're talking about Kelsea Ballerini. I wouldn’t want to listen to it from anyone else. We don’t have the same taste in music, TV, or movies except for a few things and that’s okay. Just because we don’t have the same taste doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be friends. We can both agree that the office is wonderful. On Wednesday’s, we text each other about Riverdale as we watch it. I am so thankful to have someone to talk to about my favorite things with even if you don't like them.

Also, your daily snaps of bunnies outside your house are nice to get, rather than “hey what’s up”. After all, your favorite animal is a bunny. I mean - who wouldn’t like getting pictures of cute bunnies?

The best part about you is that we both LOVE Boston. We both love the New England Patriots. Having a best friend who loves the same teams as me is honestly a blessing because no matter the day, we can ALWAYS talk about our boys together and never disagree. Plus, it’s nice having someone by my side when I'm getting trashed talked about liking the best team. And we can both agree Julian Edelman is the best-looking player.

Another reason why I’m so thankful for you is that whenever I’m having a bad day, I know you are always there to listen to me. I know I can always count on you. I can trust you with anything and everything. Whenever I need advice, you are my go-to person. You always say, “I’m not the best person to ask but”, and then give me exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you for always knowing what to say and when to say it.

I’m so thankful for our friendship. We don’t fight but, we don’t always agree, but I know that you are the best best friend anyone could ever ask for.

Thank you for always knowing what to say, for always listening to me rant, for always listening to my boy drama even friend drama, for listening to me in general, for the daily sunrises, and for everything. I’m so lucky to call you my best friend. I wouldn’t want anyone else to be my best friend. I am so blessed to have you in my life. Thank you.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.
