A Thank You Letter To My Best Friend And Roommate

Dear Best Friend/Roommate,

Thank you. I appreciate you more than you will ever know. From the days of awkward phases when we literally spent 12 hours on your laptop watching "World Wide One Direction Day", to going off to college together, thank you.

We have gone on countless vacations together and most of our memories are directly from our home town/houses. We stayed up until 5:30 in the morning laughing at each other and tried to act like we were asleep when your dad headed to work the next morning so we wouldn't get in trouble. We have been there for each other through every bad test grade, every heartbreak, every passing of a loved one, and (mostly) every good memory we've had within the past 4 years.

Now, we start our next four year journey together, once again side by side. We will go through more rough times, but trust me when I say that we can handle this. We are now "adults" even though we don't feel like it 98% of the time, especially when we're having dance parties in our room. Although we miss our families, we have each other because lets be honest, we are family. We will do this with strength and faith.

Psalms 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow meall the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Thank you for being my best friend. Thank you for being the person I could never imagine life without. Thank you for being YOU. There is only one you, and I am so glad that you were placed in my life 4 years ago. No words can describe how thankful I am to be your partner in crime, nor should they. Because we hold a bond only we can know. Keep doing you, bestie.

Love,

Your Person

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
