Gilmore Girls fans are long awaiting the four part revival on Netflix, entitled Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. After seven seasons, the show left fans hanging on to one question. What are those final four words? But those words weren't the only things fans took away from the beloved show.

Thank you for portraying strong women. Both Lorelai and Rory were strong, separately and together. Lorelai, the young single mother who worked to make sure her daughter went to the schools of her dreams. Rory, the intelligent daughter who wasn't afraid to state her opinion and stand up for herself.

Thank you for showing women in all types of roles and jobs. From Lorelai, the inn manager to co-inn owner, to Sookie, the chef to co-inn owner, and many more. The women were mothers, daughter, owners, friends, editors, etc.

Thank you for the timeless jokes. Jokes in popular tv shows are usually based on what was happening while that show was being filmed. But with Gilmore Girls, the jokes, no matter the age, will always be timeless and humorous.

Thank you for the real life family dynamics. The interactions between family members on the show were so true to those in real life. They didn't seem staged as some show come off as. They seemed real, understandable, and relatable.

Thank you for inspiring women to follow their dreams. Rory was probably one of the most inspirational characters I have come across in my tv watching. She went after what she wanted in life, worked hard, and stepped back when something wasn't right for her.

Overall, just thank you for such a lovable show with such great characters. The revival has big shoes to fill, considering it has been nine years since the season seven finale. But I have no doubt that the show will be just as good as the original. I can't wait to be back in Stars Hollow.

Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
