During most of my childhood, I had a really hard time making friends mainly because I was really shy and I didn't really fit in with the kids that were around me. So I felt really alone and like a complete loser. As I got older, I have been lucky to meet a lot of people who have made my life so much better. The people who make my life full of laughs, smiles, and adventure. They are the people who I call my friends, and who I wouldn't trade for anything else in the world. I was a shy person growing up and meeting all these people in my life has made more a happy, bubbly person. A person who is more confident in who she is as a person. So this letter is for all of my friends, and how much I love and appreciate you all.

Whether I see you every day, or only a few times a month, thank you for the impact you have had on my life, whether it was a positive or a negative one, it has made me a better person. Thank you for making me feel accepted even though you know I can be a bit weird and quirky. I'm different and it makes me happy that you guys accept that part of me.

Thank you for supporting me and giving me the confidence in many events, stages and things that I have gone through when I didn't think I could do it. Whether we met in middle school, high school, college, work, and etc. You all gave me the confidence to go for anything and made whatever I was going through a distant memory with laughter and positive vibes.

Each one of you has lifted me up when life got hard, to be a shoulder to cry on when I overwhelmed, and a listening ear when I just needed to vent. Made me laugh when I was sad and overall make me feel like the luckiest girl in to have friends like all of you.

I appreciate all of you and I promise that as much as you guys are here for me, I will be there for you no matter what. Even if we cant see each other every day, I am only a call or a text away. I treasure our friendship with all my heart and value it. I can't wait to create even more memories with all of you and have our friendship grow even stronger.

Life is full of ups, downs, and twists, however, when you have great friends it makes life even sweeter just like ice cream. Thank you all for being the most amazing friends in the world, and being apart of my life. I love you all so much!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
