To my dearest mother,
What you do for your children never goes unnoticed, but since the holidays are coming up, I thought this would be the perfect time to thank you for everything that you do, even when you don't have to. There are tons of reasons why I should thank you, but here are just a few important ones.
Thank you for playing every role: A mother, best friend, doctor, teacher, etc.
You've taken care of me countless times (sorry if I got you sick). You've taught me how to be caring, kind, forgiving, loving, confident, and strong. You've been my shoulder to cry on when times get rough, and a hug when I just need it. The love I receive from you is endless.
Thank you for allowing me to make mistakes.
You've seen it all. Through the good times and bad, you've stuck by my side. You've supported every decision that I have ever made, even if you didn't agree with it, and still never told me, "I told you so." You've let me learn my lessons on my own and for that, I thank you.
Thank you for helping me grow as a person, in the best way possible.
You've formed me into the woman I am today. I would not be here without you (literally). Thank you for guiding me through life to become the best possible version of myself. Having a woman like you to look up to is such an honor.
Thank you for pushing me, every single day.
Being away at college and having you call me to tell me to do my homework might annoy me sometimes, but it still never goes unappreciated! You remind me to stay on top of my hard work, and to never stop until I achieve what I truly want. You're my motivator.
Thank you for all the sacrifices you have made.
The countless number of things you have given up, or ignored, to keep your children happy and healthy is amazing. You always put your children first, and that is something I adore and appreciate every single day. You're my superwoman!
Lastly, thank you for being you, and the kind of parent I hope to be for my own children one day.
You are the perfect definition of a role model. I want my children to one day be able to say these things about me, and when they do, I can say, "I got it from your grandma!" You're the greatest person in my life.
