Thank You, I'm Such A Lucky Girl

Thank you for always making me laugh. I could be in the worst mood in the world, and you can turn that around in an instant. You know exactly what makes me laugh, and you never hesitate. There is never a dull moment when we are together, and I really feel like I can let my quirky side show, and you won't judge me. Not only do I laugh at your jokes, but you laugh at mine too, even when they stop being funny (which usually doesn't take long, but you never tell me that). You always laugh with me and at me, especially since I am guaranteed to do something stupid. My smile spreads from ear to ear when we are together, so much so that my cheeks start to hurt, but that just means you're really making me happy.

Thank you for being by my side through anything. If something happens, and I need you right away, I can count on you to be by my side in an instant, which is more than I can ask of anyone. No matter what the issue is, whether it be a bad grade on a test, a bad argument, or the time I crashed the car into the side of the garage (which eventually ended in laughter), you were always there, and I know I can count on you. Expecting someone to be 100 percent loyal is a lot to ask of anyone, but you act like it's nothing, which is why I always turn to you. You know me better than anyone, and always know exactly what to do to make any bad situation seem like a thing of the past. If I'm crying, you lend me your shoulder without me ever having to ask. If I just happen to need a little pick-me-up, you pick me up and encourage me to continue climbing to the stars.

Thank you for listening to me. If anyone knows me, you know that I can talk anyone's ear off. Sometimes it can be a little overwhelming; in fact, oftentimes I get tired of hearing myself talk, but you never do. You always sit and listen intently to anything I have to say, even if you've heard the same story a million times before. There are a lot of times when I have so much on my mind, and I feel trapped by the thoughts circling my head. You encourage me to open up to you, and I feel completely comfortable telling you anything. Any secret I have, and stress in my life, is safe with you, and I couldn't be more grateful. If I all of a sudden have an elaborate story to tell you in the middle of the night, you always take my calls and listen to me, and that is ultimate dedication.

Thank you for taking care of me, regardless of what I may be going through. I can distinctly remember the one time I ever came home from school with a fever. I am not the type of person to be diagnosed with the common cold, but when I am, it usually hits me hard. You rushed to my house as soon as you could with a chocolate milkshake and ice water, and sat with me and watched mindless TV despite the chances of you getting sick as well. You have continued to repeat these genuine acts for the past few years, and it feels good to know that someone cares that much. I really try not to act needy, but you know when I'm not feeling well. You stick by my side though all of the obstacles of life, and never complain.

Thank you for loving me for me. When I'm with you, I never feel like I have to put on a full face of makeup or buy a whole new outfit, for you always tell me that I don't need all of those things. You make me feel completely comfortable in my own skin, and even encourage me to break out of my comfort zone. I think I can speak for almost everyone when I say that we all have times when we don't feel all that confident in ourselves, for many different reasons. Ever since you came into my life, you have helped me to increase the confidence I have in myself, and I am forever grateful for that.

Thank you for going on adventures with me! While I do love the typical "let's see what's new on Netflix, even though we're actually just going to watch reruns of 'Family Guy'" nights, there's nothing more fun and exciting than getting out and trying something new! From the hiking, to the runs on the rail trail, to the time we tried to drive to a Chinese buffet and ended up in New Jersey, I will never forget the wonderful memories we have made. I understand that the frequency of these adventures is going to decrease in the years to come (because, you know, college!), and I know that the ones we can take are going to be even more special. I love discovering new things with you, and finding fun things that we both enjoy doing together! I'll admit, you do suggest certain things that make me feel a bit uneasy (for example, snowboarding... I know I would be horrible!), but I would honestly be willing to try it! You know why? Despite the fears I possess, and my uneasiness about trying new things, I would do anything as long as we can continue making incredible memories together to last a lifetime.

Thank you for treating me so well. I often hear stories on the news or on the Internet about some form of relationship turning sour due to an argument that turned aggressive, and I really feel for those people who intended on being happy together. However, when I am with you, I trust you and know that you would never do anything to hurt me. I always feel completely safe when I'm around you, which is especially good if we are off on one of our crazy adventures. When I was away at college, it was always so comforting to get texts, calls, and Skype calls from you asking me how I'm doing, especially while I was trying to adjust to my new life at school. I could sit here and write every little thing you do for me that I absolutely love, but I think I can sum it up by saying you really do treat me like a princess. A lot of times, I don't feel like I did anything to deserve it, but I'm still incredibly blessed.

In life, we all have that one special person that makes life just a little more interesting. This person is someone who makes you smile at random times during the day, who causes you to listen to certain songs on repeat, and who gives you that extra sparkle in your eye. This is someone who you know you could never live without, and in some way, shape or form, this person will be in your life until the end of time. They make it easier to get up every day, even if the weather is dreary and gross. This person is truly one in a million, and brings out the best in you each and every day. When you think about the special moments you've spent with this person, you immediately start smiling, and you cherish those moments no matter how small. I never thought I would have the chance to meet this person, but I have, and I couldn't be more happy. I think about the person I used to be, and realize that he has turned me into a much better version of myself. I would not be where I am today if it wasn't for you, and I can't thank you enough for everything. Thank you for saying hello when we were waiting in line for Stormrunner at Hershey Park, and thank you for riding it with me! Those two little nerds running around the park on a chocolate sugar high eventually became closer than ever, which is actually pretty funny to think about. I really never thought we would be together, but we are and it's great! Now, I understand that everyone has their own version of a love story, but I hope this article gets you thinking about that person that makes you feel some sort of special way. Think about that and give that person a big thank you! I'm sure they will appreciate it.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
