A Thank You To My Grandma
Lauren Mullenbach

Grandma,

I have so much to thank you for. You have shaped the person I am today and I cannot imagine my life without you in it. I hope everyone in the world has someone like you.

Thank you for the world’s best hugs.

Thank you for loving me even when I couldn’t love myself.

Thank you for watching out for my family. They are my world.

Thank you for the full tummy I have after leaving your house.

I love all your stories. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and lessons learned.

Thank you for praying for me. I need it.

Thank you for opening my eyes to all the beauty in the world. You have such a gift in being able to see it all.

Thank you for kissing my scraped knees and teary eyes as a kid, and as an adult.

Thank you for the advice on how to conquer the world.

Thank you for teaching me about self-respect and being a loyal and hardworking woman.

Thank you for raising my parent. They take after you in all the very best ways.

Thank you for being the strongest woman I have ever met.

Thank you for being the anchor that keeps me grounded.

Thank you for accepting me for who I really am.

You deserve the world. I cannot thank the universe enough for putting you in my life. I don’t know anyone who has such a kind, patient, and gentle soul. It is only in my wildest of dreams I can hope to be as wonderful as you are. Your life has impacted so many, so greatly. Your compassion and tender heart are a blessing to this world.

All my love,

Your favorite grandchild
