Thank You (Yes, You!)

Thank You (Yes, You!)

Freshman year is coming to an end and I have learned so much along the way. So as this year comes to a close, I would just like to thank you to everyone who has made an impact on my freshman year.

Thank you for being my first friend when coming to college.

Thank you for all the tears and showing me the the type of person I did not need to be talking to.

Thank you for being my roommates and doing all the things only roommates do together.

Thank you for dragging me to the gym even when I did not want to go.

Thank you for introducing me to new music as it helped me get through those nights of studying.

Thank you for driving me all over the place.

Thank you for being an awesome formal date.

Thank you taking as many pictures with me as I felt were necessary.

Thank you for dressing up and going to tacky Christmas and Kappa Krush with me.

Thank you for the endless hugs and waves in and out of the Kappa house.

Thank you for going with me to places I didn't want to go to alone.

Thank you for letting me sit and cry and for being there when I was ready to talk about it.

Than you for being my neighbors across the hall and always saying "Hi" when we passed by each other in the hallway.

Thank you picking me up after long nights and making sure I got home safely, even though I might have never known your name and was given your number by an older brother.

Thank you for all the free shirts, snacks, and flyers, although I already signed for a place to live next year.

Thank you for waving at me, and saying "Hey, what's up?" when seeing each other in the crosswalk.

Thank you for always texting me and asking how I'm doing even when we go to different schools.

If you think one of these thank you's is directed at you, it probably is. So while I have your attention, I would like to say thank you, again.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
