Thank you for taking the knife out of my back

Doesn't matter how long the friendship is

Thank you for taking the knife out of my back

Thank you for helping me realize that not everyone is going to hurt me

Thank you for always being there for me

Thank you for listening to me

Thank you for being you

Where does the title come from most of you are wondering. Well you see I had this so called "friend" who crossed the line one to many times. We were friends for over ten years and I thought we would be friends forever.

I realized soon that when one chapter closes in your life you should leave the negative people behind.

The hard part about friendships is the longer it is the harder it is to say goodbye well unless you truly don't care about the friendship.

This friend and I went through a really bad situation. A situation that I will never forget. You know the funny part; I did nothing wrong but I was the one trying to salvage what was left of our friendship. I tried setting up a time to talk but she bailed and we haven't spoke since.

A true best friend would do anything to make it work. It doesn't matter what you did or how bad things got, someone would go out of their way.

After everything, I felt almost broken because that was the person I always hung out with. But then I realized who my TRUE best friends were.

They reached out to me, they asked me how I was, they cared and did everything they could to make me laugh.

Do you know how amazing it feels to talk to friends that can have a conversation without bringing drama into it? It feel AMAZING. I don't have to listen to sob stories, or deal with a toxic relationship anymore.

It's funny how once everyone heard what happened the response I got from a bunch of people was, "good you're better off because I never like her anyways."

Find yourself friends that are going to encourage you and not bring negativity in your life. If you feel like someone is constantly bringing your mood down, break it off.

Thank you to my TRUE friends. I don't know what I would do without you; and I honestly mean that!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
