Thank you for stepping up and taking me as your own.

I know I may not be your biological daughter, but I am thankful for you taking me in like I am. Thank you for always being there for me and always being in my business, encouraging me not to give up, pushing me harder & just being a father to me when I needed one the most.

I became part of your family, and you were another person that I could trust. I have always believed that certain people were brought into our lives for a reason, and I am blessed that the world chose you.

I feel extremely blessed to be part of your family. I feel that everyone has welcomed me as if I was meant to be there. It's amazing to know that I will always have another person in my life that will do anything for me, and have my back. I can't thank you enough for being that person.

There are so many things that you have done for me, but these are the things that I want to thank you for:

Thank you for never giving up on me.

Thank you for seeing potential in me.

Thank you for never giving up on me.

Thank you for always supporting me.

Thank you for always inviting me to family events, it really makes me feel like part of your family.

Thank you for always picking on me, I know it's your way of showing you care, and it always puts a smile on my face.

Lastly, thank you for showing me that I'm worth so much and just because my biological father didn't want me that's okay. Because I ended up getting you as a father and I'm thankful for you everyday!

Happy Father's Day!

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
