Thank You, Mom

Thank you for always being my biggest fan.

Thank You, Mom
Layni Challender

Mom,

Words will never be able to explain how thankful I am for you. You have always told me you are my biggest fan and I kick myself for not seeing it sooner. You are truly wonderful for loving me the way you do and supporting me through every choice I make. I know you are and always will be there rooting me on through the rest of my life.

No matter what mistakes I make, you always stand by me and love me unconditionally. I know calling myself a handful would never begin to describe the gray hairs I have caused you and with that, thank God for hair color. I miss getting to talk to you face to face every day even when we argue, phone calls and text messages will never be able to substitute seeing you smile or shake your head at me. Moving on in my life was one of the hardest things I will ever have to do, but knowing you support me makes it much easier to take on.

My mistakes are of the plenty and I am slowly learning how to survive in this crazy adult world; however, I could never do it without your constant love and support. It goes without saying that your guidance through life is the only reason I have grown into the strong, independent young woman I am today. Absolutely lost would only begin to describe how I would be if I did not have you in my life. You make a point not to hold my hand, but you are certain to always make sure I know you have my back through everything I do. Your faith in my abilities is what helps me keep my faith in myself.

When I fall, I know you are always there to catch me and help me back to my feet again. You are watching me make this journey on my own, but I know you are following close behind to ensure I keep my head on straight. I know I can call you whenever I need someone to vent to about school, stress, or anything else life throws my way. I can talk to you about anything without any fear of judgement or anger. I know, no matter what mistakes I make, you will always help me get through them.

People say that a child is a mother’s greatest gift, but it is truly an amazing gift to have a mother, especially a mother as kind and loving as you. I can say with the utmost confidence that I have one of the greatest moms anyone could ever wish for. I consider myself fortunate to have a mother in my life but I am truly blessed beyond words to have received one like you. God chose very carefully before giving me you as my guardian through life. I will never understand how I became so lucky when it comes to you, but I am far from disappointed by his choice.

I love you, Mom.

Love, your not-so-little girl.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
