The first semester can be rough. Leaving home is hard, but the thing you'll be missing most will not be your car, decent food, or private bathrooms. The support systems that we grew up with are, for the first time, not there. Of course, friends and family are just a text away, but nothing beats a shoulder to ugly cry on. To all of the people who now make up my support system at school, thank you.
Thank you for helping me rescue my razor the first day when it got caught inside the shower. (I'm still not sure how I managed to do that)
Thank you for getting lunch with me two days in a row.
Thank you for letting me borrow your shampoo because I really hate mine.
Thank you for hating the same people as me.
Thank you for letting me ugly cry to you and eat your chocolate.
Thank you for telling me I'm pretty after you've seen me at almost every hour of the day.
Thank you for letting me eat your peanut butter out of the jar with no questions asked.
Thank you for leaving your front row spot in
Thank you for letting me talk to your mom on FaceTime with you.
Thank you for listening to all of my stories and remembering my high school friends' names.
Thank you for celebrating my victories with me.
Thank you for dragging me out of my funks.
Thank you for introducing me to your friends.
Thank you for believing in me even though you barely know me.
Thank you for consistently being my number one fan.
Thank you for making my days less boring.
Thank you for bringing me home zucchini bread from the dining hall.
Thank you for being the person I call even though I've seen you four times that day.
Thank you for asking me how my day was and knowing when I'm lying.
Thank you for putting up with my "candid picture taking" shenanigans.
Thank you for being a Friday night and Sunday morning friend.
Thank you for inspiring me to be better.
Thank you for packing years of friendship into one short semester.
