Thank You To My Boyfriend's Family

When you get involved with a new relationship, you not only get involved with your significant other, but also your significant other's family. When you are together for a while there comes a time when you start becoming a part of their family traditions such as holidays and family gatherings. What a blessing this is, especially if you like their family. So this is a special thank you to my boyfriend's family who makes me feel like I am a part of theirs.

First off, you all do so much for me and I can not thank you enough for the countless admissions you have paid for me to sporting events, or taking care of me when I am over at your house, etc. Especially paying for me at things, oh goodness. I hate it when you guys do so because I feel bad, but I appreciate it so much, so thank you. I love being able to sit and hang out with you guys in the bleachers during these times because it really helps me build my relationship with you more.

Thank you for the gifts that you all give me during the holidays and my birthday. Honestly, you don't have to get me anything because I just love being able to spend those times with you all and especially your son/grandson. I love the holidays with you, and being able to spend them with my family and yours. I love being included with your family functions, and being able to meet new people from the family of the guy I love dearly.

You all literally treat me like family and it makes me so happy. Whenever I am sick, you guys show your concern and take care of me and even buy me some kind of medication for my illness. Whenever I need advice, you are always there and I am so appreciative of having another person I am able to talk to when I need it the most. If I am hungry, you make sure I have food and that is awesome (ha ha). You all feel like another family to me, and you treat me like such and I can not thank you all enough.

As cliche, and sappy as this sounds, I also wanted to thank you for bringing this wonderful human being into my life. You have raised him so well, and I am so thankful to have a guy like him by my side through thick and thin. He is yet, another blessing to me and I could not be happier with having the privilege to meet him and fall in love with him.

Words can not explain how appreciative I am of all of you and all that you guys do. I could go on about vacations I have went on with you, or that time that I didn't have gas money so you helped me out with giving me some, or whatever it is. It's not about the materialistic things you guys do. Just being able to be a part of your family whether it is messy, or stable...I am blessed to be a part of it. Thank you for all that every single one of you has done for me.

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
