Ariana Grande Is On A Mission To Change Girls' Confidence

If you haven't heard it yet, Ariana Grande's new hit single "Thank U, Next" is hitting the charts right on schedule. Cuffing season is right around the corner with the holidays coming up, and Ariana is making sure girls have the confidence to be on their own.

Ariana is known for saying what she feels and making sure everyone is aware of it. Her recent single is causing the Twitter world to blow up (aside from all other political posts floating around). People all over are emphasizing the shade that has been thrown towards exes. Who taught Ariana to love? Who has taught you to love? To be patient? Taught you how to handle pain? Fans all over are thinking about past relationships and what has made them into the person they are today.

This year is a year of strength and building up confidence in young hearts all over. This song and other songs Ariana has written, is building the new revolution of powerful decision makers and strong-hearted girls. With "Thank U, Next" becoming so powerful and direct with its lyrics, it is encouraging shy personalities to step up and be strong and independent.

Ariana Grande started off on Teen Nick as a popular icon for those born before the 2000s and even early 2000 babies. As someone who is near that age group, I saw first hand how fans related to her and other actors on similar TV shows. After her popularity spiked and she became a chart-topping singing sensation, she became an icon for girls wanting to be unique and well-known. Her spunky looks and unique choice of style are a prime example for someone looking to get out of their shell and feel more comfortable just being themselves.

Being happy in your own skin comes with thanking the people and moments that built you into the person you are today. The exes who have taught you love, patience, and pain are brought out in Ariana's song, and it's recognized as a strength, not something that tore you down. Everything from your past builds you into the person you are today and creates the confidence to become a stronger woman who is happy on her own.

So thank U, Ariana. What's next?

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.
