Before I wrote for Odyssey, I'd see and share different articles on Facebook and think "Wow, that'd be so cool to write for them," and not think anything else about it, until someone I knew started writing. I was immediately jealous and googled the exact words "How to write for the Odyssey." Google came up with an application that I filled out and, well, long story short, a few days later, I was an official writer for Odyssey. Writing for an official site was something I never even thought was a possibility and I can't believe I'm saying goodbye to what was my dream come true, but since school is ending, I'll begin to start working again, taking summer classes and just won't have the time it deserves to be given.
I don't really know what else to say other than thank you. Thank you for being my outlet to write whatever I needed or wanted, thank you for further developing my passion for the written language and thank you for showing me that dreams do come true.
It breaks my heart to think this will be the last article I write because it's something I wish I had more time for, and maybe in the future I will, but as of now, with finals and my job, I don't have time to think about writing for fun.
It seems silly to be this sad over writing, but it means the absolute world to me and I feel lucky to have found what I love at such a young age.
Thank you to all the family, friends and random people that always shared and liked my articles; without you, no one would have ever read my posts and for that I'm forever grateful.
Thanks, Odyssey. It's been fun.
