I have been happily blessed with the family members that I have. Putting the spotlight on one of them, my mother, I would like to point out the great person she is.
Mom, thank you for being you. For cleaning up my scrapes from falling off my bike, and thank you for teaching me how to bake (even though I don't do it often). The list goes on and on (and on and on), but, I don't think I've ever told you this:
Thank you for not only being my best friend, but being the best advice giver there is.
Since I've reached the age that I might actually need help on things other than coloring in the lines, you've been right by my side helping. And even when you couldn't help with some things, like math, you knew who could. Dad.
But, regardless. Thank you. You have taught me a great amount of things that I decided everyone should know. I started tweeting some of the things you say to spread the word that I have the best mom ever (I also think you should write a book). What you tell me may be simple things or obvious ones, but they came from you. That's what makes them so special and mean so much.
The most recent thing you said was:
But there are a lot of other things that might've not made it to Twitter like:
"Be Switzerland." and "Do things with love first."
I hope everyone can have a bond with someone like I do with you. And, I also hope everyone will "get themselves a Lynn".
