A Thank You Letter To My Guy Best Friends

Well guys we have been friends for a long time now and it's about time I thank you for everything you have done for me. I have had many days where I am not myself and many days where I am too much myself. You three have been by my side since 2010 and I am forever grateful. From Andrew listening to me complain about everything under the sun. From Austin giving me fabulous life advice (that I never follow but definitely should). And from you D'Angelo being my favorite shoulder to cry on. You guys are truly the best friends I could ask for. I can remember the days where we would go bowling every weekend and then to the 9's and one of you paying for me cause I was too much of a princess to pay for myself. Or from the times where you D would come over and we would PIG out on an incredible amount of food. The text strings we have Austin are ones for the books. I don't know what is wrong with us but there isn't a day you don't make me laugh even all the way in Germany. Thank you guys for all the memories.

D, where do I begin? You have been my go to guy since day one. Always the first person to pick me up for Friday night football, ALWAYS willing to get something to eat and telling me I didn't look fat even though I thought I did. From every little fight I would get into with people, you would always support me...even if I was in the wrong. You were the first of us to get a car so that meant you picking me up and dropping me off again. Thanks for getting me home safely and right on the dot of curfew. I will never forget the day 6 of us squished int he Saturn and rushed to Medford to get me home right at 11. Thank you for being my absolute favorite shoulder to cry on. Thank you for never judging me. Thank you for just always being there. You're my go to D.

Austin...thank you for always keeping a smile on my face. You are my go to guy for advise and you sure do give the best darn advise in the whole world,, whether I follow it or not. Even in Germany you manage to keep me in line!! Thank you for always being the CRAZY friend with me. It's not nearly as fun being crazy/obnoxious alone. Thank you for going to EVERY football game with me, even the ones in the rain. Thank you for dancing it out with me in public. Thank you for always singing waaaaaaaay too loud in the car with me. Thank you for ALWAYS paying for my meal at the 9's. Thank you for always telling me I am too good for all the guys. Most importantly, thank you for being you. You are the best, funniest, most awesome guy and I am so lucky to have you as my person. Without you, I would not be me.

Andrew, you are the one person who I know will always throw in that inappropriate comment at the most inappropriate times. Thank you for that. Thank you for keeping me wild and inappropriate 24/7. Our friendship is definitely different than most. We have said things to each other that most people would find extremely weird. We can fight one minute and make up the next. Thank you for being that weird inappropriate friend all the time. Thank you for telling me when I am being ridiculous. Thanks for being my friend all these years.

High school definitely wouldn't have been the same without you hooligans. Times sure have changed, I have moved 7 hours way and Austin has been doing Army things in Germany, D'Angleo you're getting married and Andrew well you work a crazy amount of hours to maintian your expensive life but one thing for sure hasn't changed and thats our friendship. Thank you guys for being the best friends a girl could ask for.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Syllabus Week As Told By Kourtney Kardashian

Feeling Lost During Syllabus Week? You're Not Alone!

Kourtney Kardashian

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
