Thank You To Donald Trump
Time

A thank you letter to Donald Trump.

Dear Mr President,

We have finally surpassed your first 100 days and all I have to say is wow. But, before we get into that, I just wanted to say thank you. Honestly, I mean it, thank you so much. Because of you and your candidacy, I got involved in my very first election. Before you, Mr Trump, I hated politics and I stayed as far away as I could from them. But because of you, I learned so much from just your candidacy alone. Before your candidacy I didn't understand feminism and the movement behind it. I, like many others, believed it was this aggressive man-hating group of women who wanted to rise above men but because of you I now identify as a feminist. Because of you, I now know that feminism isn't a men oppressing way of life, but an equality driven movement to fight for what is right, and frankly what should've been done a while ago.

Before your candidacy, I didn't realize how important planned parenthood was. I thought it was just this building where women were able to terminate pregnancies and that was it. But, because of you and your blatant disregard and lack of morals, I now stand with planned parenthood. So thank you Mr Trump because unlike you, I'm aware that planned parenthood is a place where most women receive general health care and I don't believe in taking someone's health care away, but I guess we have two different understandings of the term “pro-life.” Thank you Mr. Trump for always being yourself. You don't ever hide who you truly are and that is a very beautiful thing. You see without that, the world would never be able to see your tasteless mocking of a disabled reporter, or hear you sexually harass a female reporter and your own daughter. But because of you, I and so many other women are finally grabbing back.

We are now a ripe 4 months into your presidency and I really do have to applaud you. I mean within your first 100 days, you've sent almost an entire country into a complete uproar. Whether it's your complete lack of foreign policy or your rather nerve-wracking investigation with Russia, the American people aren't having any of it. I also want to take the time to thank you for always sticking to your word, really I do. Remember a few years ago when you tweeted about your hatred for executive orders but then signed 32 of them in your first 100 days? Thanks for sticking to your word!

Thank you Mr. Trump for making me realize that my voice does matter and that I need to use it. Thank you for making me realize we as a country still have so much to fix and that experience for a job doesn't really matter. Thank you for making me realize all that I take for granted and all that I have to fight for. And most of all Mr. President, thank you for igniting a fire in me that nobody, including you, can ever put out.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Syllabus Week As Told By Kourtney Kardashian

Feeling Lost During Syllabus Week? You're Not Alone!

Kourtney Kardashian

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
