You are all beautiful.

A Thank You To My Coworkers
Ground Round

“Motivation comes from working on things we care about. It also comes from working with people we care about.” -Sheryl Sandberg

In my experience, it is easy to find maybe one or two people in your workplace that you really connect with. It wasn't until recently I was fortunate to work in a place in which I loved each and every person I worked with. Each person demonstrates their beautiful personality that made going to work, a joy for me. For that, I want to thank you.

Thank you for making fun of me. As strange as it sounds, I really enjoy all the banter and teasing that came with the job. To me, it shows that you are comfortable around me and want to interact. I love that even though you dish it, you respect me when I throw it back at you. I can honestly say I've never heard so many "wow bros" in my life. I never thought I would miss having food and jokes thrown my way, but here I am wishing I was dodging a bread clip.

Thank you for making me a better employee. Thanks for always watching my back, and cutting me some slack when I goof up at work. You gave me all the things I did not get from my own life including determination, motivation and inspiration. You showed me patience instead of anger, guidance instead of annoyance and understanding instead of intolerance. You believed in me, and I believe in you.

Thank you for caring about me. When I was having a bad day, you were there to comfort me. You would build me up and show me compassion, and offer help where I needed it. You asked about my personal life and genuinely wanted to know if I was happy. You would cheer me up, by simply being you.

Thank you for being my friend. I've laughed so hard that I've cried. All the laughter was filled with so much love in who you all are. Memories had been made at work and outside of work, and they continue to make me smile. I feel so blessed to have a friend in you and please know you have a friend in me.

Most of all, thank you for being my family. We are a family, and although it may be dysfunctional at times, I wouldn't change a thing. We fought, we laughed, we experienced sadness and joy together, and that is something that makes our family so special. I know if I needed anything, anyone of my coworkers would be there in a heartbeat. That is so incredibly rare and I am so grateful for this family I've been blessed with.

Now the time has come, that we are going our separate ways. As much as it breaks my heart, I will carry you all with me in my heart. I will never forget the way you all made me feel. Our family will always remain, and please know that I will be there for you if you need anything. You are all beautiful. I love you. Thank you... for everything.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
