It is no secret that around my house,Thursdays are sacred! My wholefamily gathers around the TV in the living room to watch "Grey's Anatomy", then "Scandal", and now "How To Get Away With Murder"! It has been this way for years, starting with only "Grey's Anatomy" and then it grew as Shonda Rhimes added more and more shows to her amazing, twisty-turning, rollercoaster of a belt! It is something we plan around. My mom actual uses it as an excuse to not have plans on a Thursday night. Even if these shows are just fictional, I have learned so much over the years!

1. Shonda Rhimes is a Mastermind!

I feel like me and Shonda should be on a first name basis. This is because she has torn my heart to shreds so many times! As soon as Shonda makes up for it and I piece my heart back together, she does it again... It's like a bad break-up with an Ex you just can't seem to shake. She knows how to pull on the right heart strings just enough to make you keep watching, but oh how many tears would have been saved if I had just already stopped!

2. It's okay to not know what you are doing.

Who ever truly knows what they're doing in life at any given moment? Just fake it, til' you make it! Confidence is key!

3. People Lie

Even people who you trust and love the most can hurt you. Always get back up, stand your ground and show them exactly what they are missing!

4. Women should never lie to each other!

Unofficial Girl Rule #572: Never lie to each other, no matter how bad it is or what it is about. Girls need to stick together and stand our own ground, because in the end, who runs the world?

5. To always know brains trump beauty any day of the week!

When you are old and grey the last thing you are going to be known for is how on "fleek" your eyebrows were or how "in-style" your clothes were. What you need is knowledge, stories, and experience to actually be worthwhile, looks will only get you so far!

6. Never settle for Mediocre

If the ladies of 'TGIT' have taught me anything, it is to not settle for anything short of your dreams and what you deserve. These women do not let anything stand in their way of getting exactly what they want and neither should you!

7. You are the Sun.

Never let a guy, or anyone for that matter, eclipse what you need. You are the sun, You are the stars, and You are the moon! Never put their needs before your own.

8. It's okay to breakdown sometimes.

Even the toughest women have to cry sometimes... Especially if Shonda kills off one of your favorite characters.

9. Sometimes it's very tough to triage what you need to do.

Sometimes it is tough to figure out what to do first and sometimes it is even harder when you would rather do none of it!

10. Always be a Gladiator in a suit!

Always fight for what you believe in and don't forget to be classy while doing so!

11. How to get away with Murder

This is one tip, I hope I never have to use, but if I do this show has taught me everything I need to know!

12. That you always need your Person

You always need someone who doesn't judge you, is always there for you, and is there to call you on your faults, if need be. I hope that one day, if you haven't already, you find your person.

13. Your soulmate can be your person, instead of your S.O.

Sometimes your best friend is a better soulmate than your boyfriend ever was, and that's okay. Sometimes we meet someone and click and they become just as much a part of our world as our S.O.'s ever are. These people become like the sister or brother we never had.

15. When things are tough, dance it out!

When in doubt, dance it out. Any situation happy, sad, or tough, you have to dance it out!

16. Here's to you 'TGIT' ladies

These ladies are the Queens of TV and it doesn't look like they are going anywhere anytime soon! Shonda, keep on doing your thing, but please try to spare us a little heartbreak!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
