When you’re in a long distance relationship with someone, there are times that the only way that you can communicate with each other is through text. And if you’re in this situation, you know exactly what these texts are, because you’ve sent and received them multiple times over! So here are the ten texts you’ve definitely sent if you’re in a long distance relationship.
1. The “I miss you” text
This text is one of the most painful to hear, because you are feeling the same exact way. It could have been five minutes since the last face-to-face interaction you’ve had with them, and it feels like a lifetime.
2. The “I love you” text
This one, on the other hand, can be one of the most exciting texts to receive. The things that those three words can do to your heart is indescribable, and it’s one of the most beautiful things that you could ever read.
3. The “How’d you sleep?” text
This text is sweet, because you know that, even though you haven’t seen each other in a certain amount of time, you still think about them immediately after you wake up.
4. The “___ reminded me of you” text
After you haven’t seen your S/O for so long, everything reminds you of them in some way, and pretty much everything could qualify as a date. You just want to be together so badly that you send them pictures or descriptions of the things you think of or see, making your “What to do when we see each other again” list incredibly long.
5. The “I wish you were here right now” text
This one goes along with number four on this list, but is slightly different. The “I wish you were here right now” text comes into play when one party is feeling romantic, cuddly, sad, or just bored. The other party usually follows up with an “Oh, I wish!” text.
6. The “I’m literally in pain right now because I miss you so much” text
This one is probably the most painful of them all, because you obviously don’t want your S/O to be sad or hurt. You wish you could be there to surround them with warmth, happiness, and love at all times, but especially this one.
7. The silly pickup line from Snapchat Discover
Now, I know this is from Snapchat, but it still counts. This one comes into effect only when you’re either bored, or when your S/O loves telling silly pickup lines. These are a simple way to tell each other that you’re thinking of them, and the graphics are usually pretty fun too.
8. The “Did you see that?” text
This text happens when you’re watching a movie or tv show at the same time as your S/O, and you text each other while you’re watching it. You hope that it makes you feel a little bit more connected, and it surprisingly works! (Here is my boyfriend and I talking to each other during the Tony's)
9. The “Me too!” text
This text reminds you that you two are connected on another level, because you even act the same on occasion. You find yourselves getting tired at the same time, craving the same foods, and having the same emotions at the same time. It’s almost creepy!
10. The “You’re so cute” text
This text comes into play when your S/O says something that is so “them” that you can hear them say it so perfectly that you almost think that they’re there with you! This text is adorable, and makes you homesick for them, in a way.
