So, it's getting to that point where we're about to wrap up the semester and have no use for the textbooks we spent our entire bank accounts on four months ago. Of course, you could sell them back to the bookstore or on Amazon, or you could donate them somewhere. But where's the fun in that? Here are some creative things to do with the textbooks you're not going to use anymore.
1. Use them as a step-stool or a booster seat
Too short to sit at the table? Can't reach the stuff on the top shelf of your closet? What better way to squeeze more use out of your like new textbooks than to sit or stand on them?
2. Search Pinterest for crafts you can do with old books
Does your room need some extra decor? Need something to keep you busy this summer? Look on Pinterest and see if there are some crafts you can do with your old textbooks.
3. Keep them in your house for self-defense
Did something go bump in the night? Don't have a baseball bat? Just grab that hardcover calculus textbook and give whoever the old one-two. They won't know what hit them!
4. Use them as kindling for your next barbecue
Did you have a really bad semester in that one class? Well, rip the pages out of the textbook and toss them in the fire at your next barbecue!
5. Build a fort out of them
Because you're never too old to have fun in a fort made of books.
6. Use them as a doorstop
Sometimes you just want to keep the door open to let in that glorious summer breeze and the door just won't stay open. Solution: your old chemistry textbook!
7. Make confetti
Who forgot the confetti for the party? Not you! Because you made it yourself out of your old music appreciation textbook. Win!
