In college, we are faced with many challenges: what classes to take, what apartment complex to live in, which Friday-night get together to attend, etc. Perhaps the most important challenge every girl will run into during her college years, however, is what to wear on game day (yes, it’s okay that you’ve already bought everything from VS PINK in burnt orange before your first day of class, we did too!) Whether it is a football game in the scorching Texas heat, or a baseball game in an all-too-familiar Texas monsoon, here is a list of things that will better equip you to conquer the main Texas game days that will come your way.

1. Football Games

Within their first week on campus, Texas girls are plagued with choosing an outfit for a football game day. For some, it is not just their first college football game, but it is their first Texas football game. The most important rule when planning your outfit for a Texas football game: it doesn’t matter what you wear if you’re not rocking your favorite pair of cowboy boots on the bottom.

At Texas, we dress down for away games and up for home games. When our precious boys are playing away, we still rock our boots and burnt orange, but we look for a comfy, casual option because we are hanging out at our friend’s house cheering on the team from the couch. My favorite thing to wear for watch parties (and let’s be honest it’s my everyday go to for class) is this cute or cute “We are Texas” tee and this perfect long-sleeve crew neck from the PINK Collegiate Collection.

For home games, we go all out and wear skirts, dresses, anything that screams “Look at me, I’m actually trying today!” So ladies, let down that messy bun, hang up the sweatpants, trade in your dirty tennis shoes for some cowboy boots, and put on your cutest burnt orange sundress. Pro tip? Grab a poncho, just in case.

2. Basketball Games

When it comes to attire, basketball games at Texas are much different than football games. Many basketball games are during the week, so one must approach their outfit picking from a much more casual standpoint. Some girls will come straight from a 6-hour binge study session, while others will have just awakened from a midday slumber. You might even find that one girl who came from a workout, but I can’t promise you that one. So I encourage you, run, don’t walk, to your closet, find your favorite pair of PINK yoga pants and a comfy Texas shirt and go support your basketball team.

3. Baseball Games

For the most part, once baseball season is in full swing, games are HOT. The only thing that would keep you from melting into a puddle in the stands would be to go naked, but that’s totally frowned upon. So this is when you will have to ask yourself: “Self, what can I wear that will look cute but also not show sweat stains in places that don’t need to show sweat stains?” And to complicate things more, baseball begins in early Spring when the weather couldn’t be any more unpredictable. It could be windy and cold, or you could be sitting through a bright sunny day that spontaneously turned into a torrential downpour. It’s always a good idea to have a fleece jacket and full rain gear on hand.

PINK embodies the energy, excitement, and fun of college life. Offering pretty and playful intimates, loungewear, beauty, and activewear, PINK has become a collegiate staple, instantly recognizable and coveted by girls all around the world.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
