1. It isn't as hot but it is plenty of humid.

The humidity is real. Granted the heat isn't a problem for long, but when it's here you better expect to sweat a lot.

2. Mexican food means something entirely different.

Yes, there is Mexican food, but let's be real. You can't compare it to some good Tex Mex.

3. Come November, you won't see the sunlight after 4:30 p.m.

The sun doesn't stay out until 6:30 pm like it does in Texas, so as a result expect to feel lazy a lot sooner in the day.

4.​ There is a lot of north eastern slang you don't know about.

Here, people say 'tight' when they're mad or call it 'brick city' when it's cold. The slang is hard to catch on to, but you'll get the hang of it

5. The cold is NOT a joke!!

You've probably heard this one a ton, but do not take it lightly. It drops to the thirties in October and the first snow will come soon after. From here it just gets colder so brace yourself!

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
