We are now in the time of year where we are entering into the looming lights of Halloween. I thought we might discuss two of my favorite terrifying places across the United States.
2. The Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum
This asylum can be found in Weston, West Virginia. Since 1864, this asylum has served as a home for the mentally ill. But the facility closed its doors in 1994. It's believed that hundreds of residents died within the walls of this facility. The asylum was also used as a military post for the civil war. The spirits of the prior residents (as well as deceased soldiers) are said to walk the halls of the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum.
2. The United States Air Force Museum
The museum is located in Dayton, Ohio. Apparently, according to night staff, the museum is plagued by voices, apparitions, and moving objects. One on the many supernatural events that have taken place inside the walls is when an old pilot was said to be seen in the operator’s seat of his old helicopter the, Black Maria.
Hopefully you found my list entertaining, informational, or at least a good form of sustenance until Halloween arrives. Happy trick-or-treating.
