Terrible Trump, Not So Classy Clinton, And Miracle Millennials

An election has a way of pulling the worst out of our nation, and the upcoming 2016 election is no different. We have all heard about a terrifying Trump, or a not so classy Clinton, as likely party nominees. One of them will take office.

The majority of voters, specifically 20-somethings, have said that they just flat out do not want to vote in the 2016 election or will move out of the country. I hate to break it to you but moving out of the country will not fix all of your political issues. It's never going to be perfect, there will not be a perfect political safe haven. I know that it's difficult to find a person whom best matches your political views, I am struggling with that as well. But you have a say, your vote matters and the best way to make a difference is to vote!

Some of the more extreme things nominees on both sides have said, will not happen because of the checks and balances our country has. I encourage young voters to look at the less extreme parts of each nominee's plans, because those are the parts that matter. Then, pick who you think will best serve our country. Your vote matters, so I urge you to vote!

I'll never forget the day that someone told me these words: "Madison, I think you're a good friend to everyone but yourself." I stood there completely in awe of that statement.
