Current CNN reports cite statements from both attorneys. It has been verified that PCP was found in the vehicle. Officer Shelby's attorney, Scott Wood, stated that the gun shot and taser deployment were simultaneous.


To me, this is where the conflict lies. Does a cop have to shoot to kill when defending themselves? It's hard to believe that the only alternative was to shoot fatally shoot Terence Crutcher, an unarmed man, when the NY Bomber was able to be captured alive after engaging in a shootout with police.
