The truth hurts. The answer to this sad pain: little white lies. White lies are a way to bend the truth. Maybe we tell these simple lies because we think we're helping our friends by not hurting their feelings or we just don't want to justify the sad truth. Either way, these ten white lies are too relatable to deny.

1. “I’ve had (fill in the blank) sex partners.”

We all know you subtract at least two sex partners from your list (maybe even more). You don't want people to think you're sleeping around. What's the big deal about bending the truth a little?

2. “Let’s totally hang out! It’s been forever.”

This is the perfect white lie for the awkward "I don't hang out with you anymore because I don't like you anymore" situation.

3. “I don’t think I'm gonna go out tonight.”

Yeah right! You know your favorite frat is throwing a party and you can't miss out. FOMO will hit you right in the a$$ with this one.

4. “I didn’t fart.”

Whoever smelt it, dealt it.

5. “No no no, I SWEAR he’s soooooo cute!”

When you ask your friend to show you his Instagram and she clicks on his 17th photo from the top, get ready for your lying face!

6. “I am 100% stable, fine, perfect, not on the verge of a mental breakdown.”

Sometimes we just have those days where we feel like we might die from sadness. But, lying to people always makes you feel better. Plus, who wants to explain why they are sad for absolutely no reason?

7. “I am so over him.”

But you just texted him? And hooked up with him last weekend? And just stalked his Instagram/Twitter/Facebook/Spotify/Vine/etc.? No one wants to admit they aren't over their ex.

8. "I am so over it."

Are you? Are you really over it?

9. "I don't care where we eat!"

We all know people have preferences for either Qdoba or Chipotle, Kneaders or Panera, Firehouse Subs or Subway, so why don't we just be honest! Is it because we are trying to be nice? The world will never know.

10. "I'm starting the homework a week early this time!"

One hour before the deadline and you still have to read seven chapters. At least you tried!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
