During the process of getting my tattoo I've learned that you need to know what you want first. and stay true to what you believe you want on your body. It's there forever and if others have an issue with it remember one thing: it's your body not theirs.

1. Find a design that's meaningful for you or that you like

I chose a fox and drew it to my liking.

2. Once you know what you want, find a reputable tattoo place. Ask around. Ask family and friends.

I went to one that was referred to me for a piercing a while back from another tattoo place.

3. Hygiene is key. If they have a pot of boiling water on the stove to sterilize their equipment, then don't get your tattoo there.

4. Don't bring a party. Would you bring a giant group of people into someone else's house?

No, I didn't think so. Bring a friend to talk to while you get your tattoo done.

5. Cold air feels so good for about the first five minutes.

6. You will have swelling, don't worry.

7. Look up after-care before you get your tattoo.

No scrubbing, no picking, no antibacterial ointment. Wash by hand with unscented soap.

8. Bring your desired design to the shop. Your artist may suggest things for you but it's ultimately your choice.

9. Speaking of tattoos that you will regret, do NOT get someone's name, or a large tattoo on you face.

10. if you want to use the tattoo to cover up old scars, wait at least two years from said incident to get them done.

It's better to wait because your skin needs time to heal. if you rush into it, the color may not stay.

Getting this tattoo can be for any meaning of things. As long as it has some meaning to you don't listen to what anyone else has to say.

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer.
