So I have an unlimited meal plan, but like sometimes I just don't know what they're cooking back there! Sometimes it'll look like spaghetti and other times I hope it's spaghetti. Since I don't have the culinary skills of a master chef (I make a mean peanut butter and jelly sandwich) I bought already-made meals and other things from Walmart.(My new love). So here's 10 things I think all college kids need for their dorms.

1. Hot Sauce

From your standard chicken platters that is super bland, to something unexpected like scrambled eggs(that looks super dry and fake) or grilled cheese, hot sauce is one condiment that will certainly spice up your meal.

2. Tortilla Wraps

They take up little space; they can liven up a sandwich; they stay fresh longer than bread.what more do I need to say?

3. Microwavable Rice

I freaking love this. Who came up with it i thank you kind sir or madam.

4. Adobo and garlic powder

Herbs and spices should be available in every kitchen. having at least these should satisfy your need for additional zest in any dish.

5. Popcorn

Taking a study break to watch a movie or your favorite reality gossip show? Don’t forget the popcorn!

6. Top Ramen/Cup of Noodles

Yes Ramen!

7. Ketchup

Let’s be honest, more often than not college students are bound to order take out. And just when you dive into your order with a side of fries, you realize they cheap you on the ketchup packets. Ketchup also comes in handy when you discover that some of the meats you’re eating aren’t the finest cut and may need added flavor. like that burger i had from the dining hall yea no just no

8. Mac and Cheese

Another fast and cost effective meal, especially if you buy Easy Mac. (Note: If you’re using a bottle of water to make your meal, make sure you check to see that it is in fact water in that bottle!)

9. Cereal

Because who doesnt love cereal

10. Peanut Butter and Jelly

Need I say more?

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter
morethanwheels

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
