Ten Shows To Watch On Netflix To Rid Stress In College

There are some shows on Netflix that have been important in getting me through my first semester and a half of college, and some shows that I plan to help me get through my next few months as well. Netflix has become an important part of college already and I can't wait to see how far it takes me through college. I would recommend anyone to watch the following shows if they want to have something to distract them from the terrors of college.

1. Bob's Burgers

Honestly, if you haven't seen this show, it's very important that you do. It may seem a little bit weird (or very weird at the beginning), but I promise you, you'll be laughing away all of your college stress in minutes. It's a great show to make you laugh away the pain.

2. Parks and Recreation

This is also a good show to laugh away pain with, and also a great show in general. Following the troubles and just downright hilarious moments of the parks department, this show was very calming to watch.

3. Dexter

Dexter is a great show to watch if you want to follow along with a serial killer as he hides his twisted mind from all the people he knows. I was continuously told to watch Dexter and when I finally started to watch it, I understood why. It was riveting and fun to watch.

4. Psych

I watched every season of Psych before even coming into college, and I re-watched it all in the first semester. Psych is one of my all time favorite shows that follows along with a "psychic detective" as he solves crimes with the police department. He constantly jokes around and makes the show basically a comedy, not a cop show.

5. Blue Mountain State

This was also recommended to me many times before I actually watched it, and when I did, I was hooked. It was a great show about college that made me laugh throughout the whole thing. Binge watching it was easy, as I wanted to watch more and more episodes to get rid of more stress.

6. Supernatural

If you want a show that will make it a little bit difficult to sleep at night, Supernatural is perfect for that. It's good for nights when you want something scary that you know has no chance of being true. It's all about demons and monsters, and the people who hunt them. It's more interesting than it may seem, I promise.

7. Criminal Minds

You can never go wrong with Criminal Minds. If you don't know what Criminal Minds is, you have probably been living under a rock your whole life. I shouldn't have to write about why you should watch this because you should already be watching it.

8. Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl was a show I watched in high school, but I would gladly re-watch it in college. It follows the rich teens of the upper east side in New York City, and all the scandals and problems they get into.

9. American Horror Story

This also goes under "watch if you don't want a peaceful night of sleep" like Supernatural. Every season has a different theme with different characters, even if some actors are the same throughout different seasons. The stories in each season are chilling, but interesting.

10. Prison Break

This is by far my favorite show that I have watched while at college. I am through the first season, and I never want it to end. This show constantly keeps you on the edge of your seat, and builds up more and more with each episode. It follows the main character as he tries to break his brother out of prison, while also keeping them, and the people they run into, alive. This is sure to become a new favorite if you have never seen it before. I highly recommend taking your time while watching this.

There are many more shows that I could put on this list, but these ten are the ones that come more quickly to mind. These shows are sure to keep you laughing your stress away, thinking about the horrors of the world, or building even more stress from the fact that you've wasted your time watching Netflix instead of doing homework. Whatever these shows bring to you, they all turn out to be worth the waste of time, and very intriguing.

A Deep Dive Into Taylor Swift’s Albums: 1989 (Taylor’s Version) Edition
Edited by Hailey Hastings

I am fully emersed into diving deep into every single Taylor Swift album, which I do on my own all the time, but wanted to do it in a way where I am sharing what a special discography she has. I feel like 1989 is the perfect place to start, it's an era that changed everything, and will always be an album people automatically think of when you say "Taylor Swift."
