I don't know about you, but I've been looking forward to fall since August. There's something magical about leaves changing from green to shades of red, orange, ad yellow. Feeling the crisp fall air hit your face as you walk and knowing that Halloween will be here soon is just one of the many things that makes fall the best time of the year. Take a look at ten more reasons why you should be excited that fall is officially in season.

1. Two words. Sweaters and boots.

Personally, the best part about fall is being able to wear sweaters, fuzzy socks, and boots without sweating. Nothing is more cozy than a soft sweater and snuggling up with a mug of hot chocolate.

2. Fall decorations make you feel at home.

Whether you're living at home or at a dorm at school, putting up your fall decorations will be sure to get you in the fall spirit.

3. An endless supply of cinnamon donuts and apple cider.

Be sure to stop by your local apple orchard and pick up a dozen delicious cinnamon donuts and a gallon of apple cider; one of my fall favorites.

4. A new haunted house for every weekend.

Grab a group of friends and test your toughness this fall at a haunted house or hayride.

5. Leaves crunching under your feet as you walk.

Nothing is more satisfying than hearing leaves crunch beneath you as you walk along a covered path.

6. Football games in the crisp fall air.

Everyone loves the anticipation Fridays bring, watching the boys of fall duke it out under the lights in your hometown.

7. Watching scary movies with your friends.

Fall time means spooky time! Whether you're into the classics or the newest thrillers, snuggle up with a bowl of popcorn and embrace the terror.

8. Watching the leaves change color before your eyes.

I am blessed to live in a place where I can see the leaves change with every new season. Driving along a country road with the windows down is something I look forward to whenever fall rolls around.

9. Carving pumpkins.

Nothing throws you back to your childhood like carving pumpkins. We all willingly and enthusiastically dive into the mush of pumpkin guts, knowing that it only happens once a year.

10. Bonfires and s'mores.

Despite the fact that your clothes will small like firewood for weeks, you love it because it is a tell-tale sign that fall is here.

Even if you're sad to see summer go, you can't deny the fact that fall is one of the best times of the year. Get excited for endless scary movies, piles of leaves to jump in, and the joy that comes with the beginning of fall.

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
