There is a type of music for every mood that you're in! If you're going through a breakup you could put on Taylor Swift. If you're in a relaxed mood you can put on some reggae, maybe even some Bob Marley. If you feel like head banging you could put on some Disturbed. Maybe you're in a happy mood, then you could turn on some upbeat pop music. There is always an option depending on your mood.

3. Music Helps Relationships.

Music can help you make friends and even help relationships. We all know how annoying it is being in a car with someone who listens to music that you hate, but you have to deal with it because it's their car. The best feeling is getting into someone's car and your favorite band is playing in their car and you get in and sing on the top of your lungs with that person. Having the same interest in music makes it easier because you have something to talk about all of the time and you can play it without being told it sucks.

4. Music Is Easy To Relate To.

Music has so many topics you can relate to. When a song comes on the radio you may realize that you connect with it. Sometimes you could feel completely alone and you feel like something that happened never happened to anyone else, then you hear a song on the radio that completely relates to your situation and you don't feel alone anymore. Music can give you a sense of relief and relaxation.

5. Music Can Help Children.

Music is amazing for children even before they are born. A lot of people play music for their babies before they are even born, some people even say that music can make a baby smarter. Music can help sooth a baby and put a baby to sleep. Music is also amazing for day cares when the kids start getting really wild and need to get their energy out you can have them dance with music on!

You can listen to whatever music you want whenever you want to. You have the option at every second of every day to put on music of your choice, all of you have to do is go on YouTube or Spotify. You could also buy your own music and download it on your iPod to have access to it all the time even off of WiFi.

7. Music Is Portable.

Music is always portable. You can bring your iPod or phone with you that has all of your music! You can bring a radio and CD's. You could get music outside and inside. You can even bring music to the beach. You can listen to music wherever you are and whenever you want.

8. Concerts Are Fun.

Concerts are so much fun! If you get really into a particular group you may want to go to their concert. Concerts are fun because it's a bunch of people in the same room who are all excited to see the group that's playing. The energy level is always high and overall concerts are an amazing experience. You get to meet people who have a similar interest as you!

9. Singing To Music Makes You Happy.

Singing to music makes you feel happy. You and your friends can mess around, relax, and enjoy each other's company. You can sing the music at the top of your lungs as a joke! You can also sing in the shower and just have fun no matter what you're listening to!

Music can help you stay awake or put you to sleep. Sometimes you could be driving home and falling asleep. If you put music on, having it on full volume makes it easier to stay awake. If you want to sleep you could put it on low and soft so it becomes more relaxing music.

Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
