10 Reasons Why I Love 'The Office'

Honestly, What's not to love?

My current craze and obsession involves binge watching The Office 24/7, and I am not ashamed one bit to declare my love for this show. Every episode makes me uncontrollably laugh and one episode a night turns into half a season every day. I've easily come up with my ten reasons why I absolutely love The Office.

1. Michael Scott's Managing Style

Could you imagine a day at the office when Michael Scott is your manager. I can't imagine what it would be like to listen to his quirkiness or even deal with his character.

2. Dwight and Jim's Relationship

The first few seasons really focus on Dwight and Jim's dysfunctional relationship and at first it mainly sticks all the shenanigans on Jim. We later see Dwight shooting more pranks on Jim and their relationship just gets better and better.

3. Jim and Pam's Romance

For about three seasons of The Office we waited and waited for Jim and Pam to finally be together and before long we were blessed with their love. It came slowly but before we knew it they were married, and waiting for the arrival of their first child together. Their love is so perfect and natural that how could we not expect them to end up together.

4. Andy's Jokes, and Humor

We aren't immediately introduced to Andy aka the Cornell grad, but boy are we happy that we were. Andy is just another addition to the team and he surely is something else.

5. Poor Poor Toby

Right from day one we know Michael's hate for Toby, and at first were not entirely sure why. Even after watching more seasons I still not sure why there is so much hate for poor poor Toby. Maybe after his Costa Rica accident I grew a love for him, or I just feel really sorry for him.

6. The Sebring

The first thing I think of when someone brings up Michael Scott is his car, the Sebring. My favorite moments with the Sebring include Michael shoveling out snow from his car when he left the top down, and Michael following the GPS into the river. That poor Sebring went to hell and back with Michael Scott.

7. Dwight

Dwight is easily one of my favorites. There's way too many things I love about him to even list but if your also a fan of The Office you'll understand the love I have for Dwight.

8.The Endless Shenanigans

Every episode highlights the funniest moments at the office and each is much different from the rest. There seems to never be a dull moment at this work place, and honestly I don't think I would mind working there myself.

9. Michael's Romances

Between his love with Jan, Holly, and Pam's mom Michael's romances are by far the funniest, most epic love stories on the show. I wish Michael and Jan could have stayed together for little longer just because their romance was intensely crazy. I can't imagine dating Michael or even putting up with him even a little bit.

10. The Conference Room

I love all pointless meeting Michael holds in the conference room, and I don't mind all the nonsense he seems to come up with.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.

The winters at Kent are brutal, and while the heated sidewalks and some great snow boots are always a help, there’s no chance you won’t bust it on the ice at least once in your four plus years at school.
