Ten Reasons Why You Should Own A Dachshund Once In Your Lifetime

When I was going through a really difficult point in my life a friend of mine didn't want her dog anymore. Three years later, I am so thankful for my Toby.

Here's ten reasons why I think everyone should own this dog breed once in your life:

1. They are the perfect snugglers. Just when you think it can't get any better, they just get closer.

2. They have hilarious personalities. Example: my dachshund knows when I have the camera on him because he "acts" shy but he really isn't.

3. They think that they are always suppose to be next to you. They have separation anxiety more so than others. They will follow you every where you go- even to the bathroom.

4. They are super protective of their owners. They try to act all big & bad but in reality, they are just ankle biters.

5. They are good with kids. They aren't rough. They are very playful.

6. They are smart (but they will play dumb). Personally my dachshund, Toby, knows when to do right & wrong but he chooses to do his own thing. Example: when he is using the bathroom and he is all done and I tell him to come inside he goes the exact opposite way.

7. They have a long lifespan. They can live 14-17 years so they would make a great family pet!

8. Dachshunds are the most determined dogs. No matter what it may be!

9. They don't get big (they stay small forever!) So you don't have to worry about them "growing up" on you.

10. They are truly a mans best friend.

Sorority

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
