We may go to rival schools now, but my best friend and I were once inseparable. No one quite knows you like a best friend does, and that's kinda special. So to honor this bond, I thought I would write down just a couple of reasons why my best friend really is the best. This list goes out to not only my best friend, but all the other best friends out there.

1. You laugh at my jokes.

That's saying a lot because I'm not very funny.

2. You will always be my partner in crime.

It's pretty great to always have someone to do things with, even if it's just a late night run to Braum's.

3. You give the best kind of advice.

The real advice. Advice actually applying to me and I actually need.

4. You want to hear all the details about my love life.

Rather it be a committed relationship or just a cute guy in my math class, you want to know all the details.

5. We have fun no matter what we are doing.

I can't count the number of times we had a blast just walking down the aisles of Target.

6. You are there for the big stuff.

Like when I get a boyfriend for the first time, and I have no idea what to do.

7. You are there for the small stuff.

Like when I get a jelly bean cactus, and I need my best friend to tell me how much to water it, so it doesn't die.

8. You keep it real.

Thanks for giving your honest opinions when shopping. I'm sure you saved me from many embarrassing moments.

9. You put up with my love for the OU.

You may be a Cowboy, but you listen to my endless Boomer Sooner cheering.

10. I have a built-in accountability partner.

Best friends help you grow, it's as simple as that. You know just the right ways to encourage me.
