Summers are hard when you're in college, in between jobs, or you really just don't make a ton of money. With summer being here, and we all want to do things with our friends, saving money is key.
1. Hampton Beach
Located in Hampton, this beach has a strip of shops and restaurants. It's pretty nice here and parking is pretty cheap too.
2. Boston, Mass
There are so many free things to do in Boston. You can hang out in the commons, see street performers, or just follow the freedom trail. The museums and other attractions are usually pretty cheap, (Paul Revere's home is 3.00 for students) and they are pretty interesting.
3. P-town
P-town has several shops, eateries and attractions that are low cost. There is a used bookstore that sells vintage books for little money, if you're into that sort of thing, and there are many quaint places tucked away in this town.
4. The Lowell Spinners
The Lowell Spinners, for those who don't know are the lower league affiliates for the Red Sox. The tickets are inexpensive and there is in between innings entertainment.
5. Salem night tours
Who doesn't love a spooky night tour? There are usually passes and bundles you can purchase to lower the cost or museums and other attractions in Salem, and it is defiantly worth checking out
6. Canobie Lake Park
If you enter the park after 5, tickets are discounted. For those who haven't gone, you only pay for the one tickets and you can ride that roller coaster till close if you want for no additional charge.
7. The Stone Zoo / New England Aquarium
Animal shows. Need I say more? Tickets are discounted for students and regular priced tickets aren't that bad either.
8. Smolak Farm
During the summer, they have raspberry picking, strawberry picking and a fully functioning farm store. Baskets are about $20 which isn't that bad. You can easily spend the day here.
9. Jordan's Furniture
There is an IMAX theater in the store. it's not just a furniture store. the last time I was there, there was a candy store and a high ropes setup. Defiantly worth the visit.
10. Altitude Trampoline park
This also goes for any other trampoline park. Averaging at about $30 for two and a half hours, which doesn't seem like much but is when you start jumping, it is relatively cheap and is very fun.
