The South is a beautiful place regardless of the season, but something about the aroma of fall makes it so much sweeter. “Autumn carries more gold in its pocket than all the other seasons.” ― Jim Bishop. There are infinite experiences in fall that you cannot experience any other time of the year, but here is a list of ten of the best ones.

1. The changing colors.

There's just something about raking up all the leaves just to jump in them.

2. Cooler temperatures.

Colder weather means the perfect time for cuddling.

3. Haunted houses.

There's nothing like getting the wits scared out of you with your best friends.

4. SEC Football.

Nothing compares to watching your favorite team win.

5. The fall outfits.

Boots, scarves, sweaters, fashionable coats, the list goes on forever!

6. Everything pumpkin flavored.

Pumpkin spice lattes and pumpkin pie are to die for.

7. Halloween festivities.

Free candy and dressing up? I'll take it any day!

8. Bonfires.

Roasting s'mores over an open fire is one of America's greatest pastimes.

9. Good hair days everyday.

No humidity means good hair all day long.

10. Thanksgiving Day.

Who doesn't love eating their weight in food within a few short hours while reminiscing with family?
