Christmas is by far one of the best times of the year. I love getting to have time off from work and school to spend time with loved ones and to celebrate my main man Jesus Christ! One of my favorite things to do during the Christmas season is watching Christmas movies! Here I have compiled a list of my top ten favorite Christmas movies (in no particular order) that you MUST watch this year!

1. How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2000, Jim Carrey Edition)

This is by far one of my favorite Jim Carrey movies. This is always one of the first movies I watch during the Christmas season, and I always make it a point to reference my mom as the Grinch while watching it.

2. Elf

“Santa! Oh, my God! Santa’s coming! I know him! I know him!” How could you not fall in love with Buddy the Elf? This light-hearted movie is sure to keep you smiling as you watch it. It's definitely one that we will make our own kids watch someday.

3. Annabelle's Wish

Okay, This is by far my all time favorite Christmas movie. It might quite possibly be my favorite movie ever. The heartwarming story of this little cow giving up her dreams to help her best friend will make you have all the feels! Oh, and let's not forget that Randy Travis narrates it, so, therefore, it's 100 times better tan any other movie.

4. Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer (1964)

This is one of the more classical Christmas movies I like to watch from my collection. I love watching Rudolph make his debut as Santa's leading reindeer, and hey, it's pretty cute when he tries to control his glowing nose.

5. Holiday in Handcuffs

For romantic comedies, this is by far my favorite one to watch at Christmas. I mean come on, who wouldn't want to steal Mario Lopez and force him to be your fake boyfriend for a week?

7. Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas

This movie is actually a collection of three stories all relating to your favorite Mickey Mouse characters. All three of these stories offer us an eye-opening message. It's great for kids, but also still warms my heart as I watch it even as an adult.

8. A Madea Christmas

Hellur! How could you not love a movie that includes both Madea and Larry The Cable Guy celebrating Christmas together?

9. A Smokey Mountain Christmas

Okay, I have, to be honest, I mainly like this movie because Dolly sings Hard Candy Christmas in it, which is one of my favorite Christmas songs, but the storyline is really great too.

10. A Charlie Brown Christmas

Does this one really need an explanation? Everyone knows how much of a classic this Christmas movie is and if you haven't watched it, don' worry, because it's sure to come on tv at least once during the Christmas season.

What are some of your favorite Christmas movies to watch?

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
