Hocus pocus! Abracadabra! In 2009, the world was hooked on vampires and werewolves following the success of the "Twilight" franchise. After the release of "The Walking Dead" in 2010, zombies were all the rage. Nowadays, it seems that both the media and consumers alike are bewitched. As a woman with a witch hat tattooed to my arm for all of eternity, I can certainly see why some are quick to hop on this broom and fly. Television and movies are no exception.

1. "Witches of East End"

"Witches of East End" premiered on Lifetime in 2013. It was based on the bestselling novel series by Melissa de la Cruz of the same name. Unfortunately, the series was abruptly canceled after two seasons. It has all of the ferocious femininity and magic you could ever wish for! It is available on Netflix instant video.

2. "Salem"

"Salem" puts a spooky spin on the real events of the Salem Witch Trials that occurred in Salem, MA in the 1600s. It is a must see for history buffs and witch fans alike. It is available on Netflix instant video.

3. "Sabrina the Teenage Witch"

"Sabrina the Teenage Witch" is a sure classic for millennials. This show is aimed toward a young generation, giving it lighthearted witchy humor. The show is based on the Archie comic book series of the same name. It is available on Hulu instant video.

4. "Hocus Pocus"

"Hocus Pocus" is a Halloween must watch film and has been ever since its release by Disney in the 90s. It tells the fictional tale of the Sanderson Sisters, a wicked gang of witches from historical Salem, Massachusetts.

5. "Practical Magic"

"Practical Magic" is the perfect movie for witches and sisters alike. It focuses on more modern magic, shows the beauty of acceptance and teaches you how to shut down a disrespectful man using only belladonna crystals.

6. "Teen Witch"

If you enjoy a good 1980s style teen flick, you'll love "Teen Witch." Louise discovers she has magic powers that activate on her sixteenth birthday. What else would you use magic on as a teen? To rule your high school!

7. "American Horror Story: Coven"

"American Horror Story: Coven" is just one of five of Ryan Murphy's twisted seasons of "American Horror Story." This season focuses on the dark side of witchcraft. Bonus points for the feature of the white witch herself, Stevie Nicks.

8. "Twitches"

Making the list as another hit Disney classic, "Twitches" will remind you why family is important as well as embracing the magic within. It is lighthearted (if you're not looking for one of the darker options on this list!)

9. "Charmed"

"Charmed" is a cult classic among witch fans. Netflix features all eight seasons for those rainy days when you are looking to binge watch with a steamy mug of pumpkin tea.

10. "The Craft"

"The Craft" is that perfect sleepover flick, if watching a movie about catty high school witches turned bad is your idea of a girl's night!

Whether you're a bad witch, or a good witch, pop culture has ensured that there is something wicked for all to enjoy on television! Binge on, witch fans!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
