For most people going trick or treating or going to parties is the most fun part of celebrating the yearly holiday of Halloween, but for someone like me sitting at home with a bowl of popcorn sitting next to me is the most fun thing to do, and of course watching movies is great but during this time I like to watch a certain set of Halloween movies.

Here is my top ten, feel free to tell me which ones you like.

1. Hocus Pocus.

I mean who doesn't love this movie I remember the first time I watched it I loved it so much, I mean come on who doesn't love the Sanderson sister.

2. Halloweentown.

Halloweentown was always my favorite, the first time watching I told myself I can't wait to see it again, the next year I waited and waited and waited until it finally came on, and I mean who didn't want to hear about the magical place called Halloweentown.

3. Halloweentown II.

Now when the second Halloweentown movie came out I wanted to scream with joy I couldn't believe they made a sequel, it was just amazing, and like the last one I couldn't wait to watch it again. Plus who doesn't love Aggie.

4. Halloweentown High

And who could forget the third movie where a bunch of monsters disguise themselves as normal kids and go to the same school as Marnie.

5. Beetlejuice.

This movie with the lovely Winona Ryder, this movie was absolutely one of my favorites and still is and who didn't like beetlejuice although he was a little creepy, just remember don't say his name three times.

6. Under Wraps

Who could forget about the movie where a boy finds a mummy and the next thing he knows the mummy is alive and running around definitely one of my favorites.

7. Mom's Got A Date With A Vampire

I can still remember the suspense and the two kids in this movie attempted to save their mother from the wraps of a vampire.

8. The Amityville Horror.

Although many people do not like horror movies, this is one of my favorite knowing there is some truth behind a horror movie has always caught my attention a little more.

9. Casper.

Not only did I love this movie but the story line and just the fact that Casper is about the cutest ghost I have ever seen.

10. Halloween.

What would Halloween be without the movie named exactly after the holiday, and what would a scary movie be without Michael Myers following you around ready to kill you and just the song is creepy.

And these are just some of my favorites there are so many more you could watch.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
